Overview of the role

This is a fantastic time to be joining Suncorp as the industry goes through significant change. A Senior Business Analyst is required to support our Docs & Notices (D&N) Platform. You will have extensive D&N (SmartCOMM + Scriptura) or Customer Comms experience in addition to being confident in JIRA and Confluence.

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 250 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) and supporting the platform.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with existing squad to document Docs and Notices requirements including PDS updates, CCM system, SmartCOMM
  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
  • Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
  • Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring:

  • Minimum of 3 year’s Senior Business Analyst experience working on large multi-year programs
  • Extensive Docs & Notices (SmartCOMM + Scriptura) or Customer Comms (CCM) experience required
  • Background in Insurance or financial services desired
  • Strong facilitation skills including providing change management collateral e.g presentations/packs 
  • Agile experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
  • Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
  • Jira and confluence skills essential
