About the opportunity

This is an exciting term contract, full-time opportunity for up to 12 months for an appropriately experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Payroll team.

You will play a key role in assisting in the production of the weekly payroll, attending to relevant correspondence, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with procedures in a fast-paced environment. Experience using TechOne would be an advantage.

Qualifications and experience

Essential:

  • Experience in and knowledge of payroll operations or a Certificate in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience in computer-based applications, including spreadsheets
  • Current class C driver's licence.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of payroll systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Availability to work flexible working hours.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,396.13 per week
  • 35-hour working week 
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements, 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
