About The Role:

We are excited to offer a fixed-term, 10-month contract for a talented Graphic Designer, spanning from August to June. This role is designed to provide maternity leave coverage. Join a team during this period and showcase your creative skills in a dynamic work environment
 
This role will work to delivering on detailed design briefs (from initial concept stage to print) and deliver design outcomes of exceptional quality that supports brand objectives. The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualising, developing and rolling out creative support for brand events and other marketing activity.
This includes designing and developing new wine and glass product labels and packaging as well as designing, creating and sharing a wide variety of marketing collateral. May also be responsible for creating brand centric website designs, EDM and social media collateral with accompanying style guides.
 
Areas of Accountability
Budget Management

  • Produce designs that meet the brief and can be delivered within the desired budget

Design & Production

  • Produce creative and innovative new label and packaging design from concept through to finished product.
  • Review and provide recommendations on existing labels and packaging
  • Prepare high‐quality, clear and accessible collateral that meets brand objectives and supports specific marketing campaigns
  • Liaise with third party printers and packaging companies through the design phase to reach desired outcomes for the brief
  • Co‐ordinate and oversee any outsourced design or photography work ensuring brand objectives and style guides are adhered to
  • Create digital designs and assets for multimedia including new websites, mobile apps, EDMs and social media

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with the Managing Director & Brand Managers on creative initiatives and brand building concepts/ideas for the Group

Documentation

  • Produce branding /style guide for each JFW and Brand New Vintage brand ‐ generation, communication and maintenance. Ensuring all communication and design work are in‐line with the company’s brand image and positioning
  • Produce style guides that translate and guide brand website development
  • Maintain an internal library for formatted bottle shots, tasting notes and logos etc

 
About You:

  • Degree in Visual Communication or Graphic Design highly regarded + a brilliant portfolio
  • 2‐3+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles
  • Strong layout and composition skills
  • Print production skills, knowledge and experience
  • Experience in interaction design, graphic design, marketing, copywriting or branding
  • Expert level Graphic Design skills but comfortable with (or willing to learn) photography, videography and presentation design
  • Exceptional relationship skills, confidence to establish new relationships and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong people, presentation, and organisational skills
