Overview

SA Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at the Mental Health unit within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network. This is a full-time, contract position based in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

As an Occupational Therapist in Mental Health, you will play a vital role in promoting recovery and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to address the occupational needs of individuals with mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide client-centred care
- Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions focused on improving daily living skills
- Promote independence, self-management, and community reintegration
- Advocate for clients' rights and ensure their active involvement in the treatment process
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation

To succeed in this role, you must be a registered Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to mental health care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Experience in mental health settings and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies are highly desirable.

This contract position is scheduled to end on 02-14-2025, providing an opportunity for professional growth and valuable experience in the field of mental health occupational therapy.
