What you’ll do?

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for handling various support tickets, attending regular visits for high value managed service and prepaid support engagements. Delivering project engineering services (both design and implementation) and being responsible for their IT needs end to end, the Senior Systems Engineer role is pivotal in the daily operations of our clients' services. 

  • Provide services across multiple vendors and vertical technologies delivering excellence in Windows and/or Apple focused technology services.
  • Manage end point software installation and licensing, and end user device setup and transfer.
  • Provide general application support, advanced troubleshooting of network connectivity issues, user account creations and deletions, create file sharing connections.
  • Documenting time and technical information into our ticketing systems and client information tools.

What you’ll bring?

  • Previous experience in a Senior Systems Engineer or similar role - MSP experience is highly desirable. 
  • Extensive experience in the networking and security space - particularly in Juniper, Aruba and Fortinet technologies. 
  • Experience with firewall and security implementation, as well as the Microsoft Azure Stack and VMware ESXi.
  • Solid knowledge of VLAN's, routing, servers and storage.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.

  • Travel on-site to our office in Alexandria and to our client's office in Sydney.
  • Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.

Compnow will provide and require all successful applicants to complete a current National Police Check as well as a new or updated state-based Working With Children Check.
