Halcyon Knights is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join a state government department based in Adelaide CBD.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a competitive pay rate. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and evaluate client-focused facility management programs and services, ensuring the effective operation of the department facilities across the statewide asset portfolio.
ABOUT THE ROLE
⦁ Oversee the development and delivery of a statewide preventative maintenance program, working with other stakeholders.
⦁ Ensure facilities management programs and related operational issues, breakdown services, and project management are delivered and compliant with AGFMA.
⦁ Monitor and ensure facilities management activities meet approved standards and specifications.
⦁ Provide expert advice and assistance to clients, contractors, and service providers.
⦁ Ensure the application of security standards and policies by service providers.
⦁ Establish and review Service Level Agreements for District and Regional facility management operations.
⦁ Manage complex lifecycle requirements for assets, including planning and managing acquisition or disposal processes.
⦁ Resolve the department's employee housing issues and provide policy advice related to government employee housing.
⦁ Manage site budgets and ensure assets and services are fit for purpose and cost-efficient.
⦁ Implement programs targeting the efficient operation of the department's accommodation services.
⦁ Promote energy efficiency programs and savings measures across the department.
⦁ Maintain accurate information management systems for the department's facilities data and reporting requirements.
⦁ Develop and maintain positive relationships with managers and staff within the department facilities.
⦁ Effectively manage assigned facilities staff and ensure quality customer service.
⦁ Plan and monitor works and services with service providers to encourage continuous improvement.
⦁ Contribute to the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
⦁ Undertake research and feasibility studies for new programs, projects, and initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing and administrating asset and facilities management programs, projects, and audits.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delivering priorities and innovative solutions in a high-demand environment.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing requirements and provide support in an environment of change.
- Experience managing facilities employees and ensuring high-quality performance and customer service.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide innovative solutions for business continuity.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional networks and relationships, with effective communication skills.
- High-level analytical skills for resolving complex issues and supporting change objectives.
- Experience providing high-level analysis, research, and advice through executive briefs and reports.
- Knowledge of modern accommodation and facilities planning concepts, guidelines, codes, and regulations.
- Expertise in managing data and information systems and producing reports.
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Proactive experience in delivering high-quality customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications and database systems.
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
- Comprehensive knowledge and commitment to WH&S legislation and risk assessment principles.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Knowledge of contract specifications and the South Australian Government’s Facilities Management Arrangements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Public Sector administration, resource management policies, and procedures.
