Additional Information:
• This role is Permanent Part-time 50hrs/fortnight.
• Applications close Thursday 19 September 2024.
• As we operate 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts (ranging from 7:30am to 9:30pm). You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
About this work area
As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Commercial:
• Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
• Food preparation and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels.
• Clearing tables, wiping down benchtops and stocktake.
• Active selling, cash handling and customer service.
Operations:
• Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.
• Food preparation, cooking, serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.
• Processing dishes and maintaining the washing up area and machines whilst supporting and maintaining the cleanliness of the customer restaurant.
• Operation of ovens & fryers.
As an IKEA Food Co-worker you are:
• Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.
• Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.
• Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.
• Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
