An excellent full time, permanent opportunity exists for a Trainee Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team in our Darwin location

You will have the opportunity to work and learn in our well-equipped branch. The branch services a broad range of industries including automotive, industrial, defence and power generation. This is an exciting and rewarding entry level career opportunity for someone who has a keen interest in the automotive industry.

Key duties and responsibilities of the position include:

  • Learn to provide parts interpreting services and support to the Parts, Services and Sales Departments;
  • Develop your customer service skills;
  • Develop and apply administrative tasks, including invoicing, purchase order creation, parts procurement from external vendors when required, inventory receipting for direct ship orders;
  • Parts sales with our customers, including promoting new products and services;
  • Provide prompt and efficient service to walk in customers, telephone enquiries and email requests.

The successful applicant will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Completed Year 12 with passes in English and Mathematics;
  • A passion for vehicles and the automotive industry;
  • A willingness to work and learn on the job;
  • Strong customer service focus;
  • Pride in completing jobs to a high standard;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work in a team environment;
  • Commitment to the full term of the traineeship.
