About the Role
ALS Water in Scoresby, Melbourne is a modern facility equipped with the latest in analytical technology. Our Client Services team is currently seeking a Despatch Coordinator with strong leadership skills to become part of a team that strives to exceed customer expectations. This role will suit someone with a logistics and warehousing background who is enjoys leading a small team. This role is responsible for packing and sending out sampling kits to clients, managing levels, dealing with freight companies, creating orders and online bookings for stock and receiving completed sample kits and distributing them to our laboratories. This is a fast-paced and varied role where you’ll need excellent communication skills to liaise across departments to ensure our client needs are met.

The day to day

The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following:

Organising efficient and timely dispatch and receipt of bottle orders and samples. Liaising with other ALS staff to ensure seamless, timely service to clients. Sample pick up from client sites. Maintaining warehouse to ensure safe access and storage Managing team member performance and training, including documentation. Maintaining a high standard of occupational health and safety, ensuring work areas and equipment are kept safe, neat and clean. The Essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Experience in a busy, client-focused logistics / warehouse environment A team player who leads by example Well-organised, planful and attentive to detail A clear and effective communicator, verbally and in writing; good numeracy and computer literacy Driver’s and Forklift licences Must be reasonably fit, some manual lifting (up to 10kgs) is required A positive customer focus and quality of service approach Complete commitment to workplace safety and promotion of ALS Safety Culture.
