Overview

Playing a vital role in our team, the Registered Nurse or Clinical Nurse, delivers top-quality care to patients/clients while continuously advancing their professional expertise. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to personal and professional growth, thrive in dynamic healthcare environments, and are dedicated to providing compassionate, person-centred care. Key responsibilities:

Develops from novice practitioner to proficient professional through continuous learning, professional development and hands-on experience Accepts full accountability for their own standards of nursing care and for delegating activities to others as appropriate Assess individual patient/client needs and devise comprehensive care plans, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options, including collaboration with other disciplines or agencies. Provide direct person-centred nursing care and/or individual case management to patients/clients on a shift-by-shift basis in a defined clinical area, with a focus on enhancing autonomy over time Plan and coordinate services with other disciplines or agencies to ensure holistic healthcare provision that meets the individual needs of each patient/client.

Essential Criteria

All applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Please note that as this position is multi-classed as either an RN/M1 or RN/M2C, the classification will be determined by qualifications and experience. To be considered for the higher classification RN/M2C, applicants must also have at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.

Applicants are to specify in their application whether they wish to be considered for RN1 or RN2 position. There is also an opportunity to work within the infusion unit and upskill to become chemo accredited.

This is a part time vacancy, working 48 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
