Introduction:

Reporting to the ME & Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintenance works to repair, maintain and service production equipment and systems.

The Role:

  • Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
  • Assemble fabricated components
  • Install pipework and pipework assemblies
  • Interpret technical specifications and manuals
  • Maintain and overhaul mechanical equipment
  • Maintain engine cooling systems
  • Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Maintain water treatment systems for cooling towers
  • Manufacture press tools and gauges
  • Measure and sketch site information
  • Operate and monitor intermediate class boiler
  • Perform automated thermal cutting
  • Perform equipment condition monitoring and recording
  • Perform installation and removal of mechanical seals
  • Perform manual production welding
  • Perform operational maintenance of machines / equipment
  • Prepare basic engineering drawing
  • Produce free hand sketches
  • Set up basic hydraulic and pneumatic circuits  
  • Shut down and isolate machines / equipment

What you’ll have:

  • Must be competent / Qualified Fitter
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven safe work practices and commitment to safety.
  • Great communication skills within a team environment and a team player with flexibility to assist all areas when needed.
  • Licence to perform rigging basic level
  • Working at heights licence
  • Confined spaces licence
  • Elevated work platform licence
