As the Tendering Engineer you will provide engineering support to tender activities for projects. You will be providing consistent on-time submissions that maximise Schneider Electric’s opportunity to win business whilst at the same time supporting growth in order intake and customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical responses to our customers requests
  • Timely and quality submission for Tenders.
  • Cost Build up and Technical Document preparation
  • Ensure that the company is not exposed to undue liability for all commercial submissions (value versus cost)
  • Maximise pricing and profitability on projects with a specific focus on Type B & Type C projects
  • Understand the relevant customer key issues and Contribute/Implement in win strategy
  • Ensure a successful project handover

Ideal Candidate 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Technical knowledge: Switchroom (eHouse)
  • Commercial knowledge: Common legal clauses, Contractual best practices, Incoterms, Cash flow
  • Team player, Open minded, curious, Positive
  • Minimum 7 years' of experience working in the electrical industry experience
  • Experience in Medium and Low Voltage distribution applications
  • Strong commercial acumen (business development mindset with a focus on Financials (cash and margin, CCO)
  • Excellent verbal communication
  • Understand product construction and features
  • Familiarity with relevant international standards
  • High EQ and team player
