About the Role:

This is a Permanent Part Time position at 16 hours per fortnight within the Possum Ward.

As a Ward Clerk, you will assist nursing staff by providing indirect patient care under the direction and supervision of the Nurse in Charge of the shift in the allocated area. First and foremost, you will be the first contact for patients, families and health professionals visiting and telephoning the ward. You will be responsible for handling these enquiries in an accurate, professional and timely manner and provision of administrative support to staff.

Your skills and experience:

  • Proven strong customer service focus
  • Proven experience working in a busy front line customer service role dealing with large volumes of people
  • Demonstrated experience using various computer applications, including Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting would be desirable

  • Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtain
  • Valid Working with Children Check
