About the role
We are currently seeking a Cost Manager to join our Rail Operations team based in Laverton North, VIC.
This permanent role offers great career prospects with a privately owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key responsibilities
Establish and maintain project cost control function, WBS, cost management processes, and progress measurement. Configure and utilize cost management software (e.g., PRISM G2) for data entry, reporting, and integration. Coordinate monthly cost processes: accruals, actuals, forecasts, variance analysis, trend monitoring. Produce comprehensive cost reports with detailed analysis for stakeholders. Manage change management processes, tracking changes and cost implications. Collaborate on risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks. Troubleshoot data inconsistencies, reconcile discrepancies, ensure accurate data models and reports. Optimize cost control processes, leveraging best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with project teams, aligning cost control activities with project objectives.About you
Experience in cost controls for engineering, construction, and capital works projects. Analytical and problem-solving skills, interpreting complex data and providing insights. Communication and interpersonal skills, presenting financial information to stakeholders. Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., PRISM G2), Excel, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management skills. Advanced skills in the below would be advantageous: PRISM G2 or equivalent Cost Management SystemMS 365 (mainly Excel)MS Power PlatformBenefits
