Ares Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) Australia is looking for a Principal, Sales Manager, the position will play a key role in distributing a range of alternative strategies to the Australian and New Zealand private wealth channels and will work directly with multiple stakeholders across Ares WMS and broader Ares investment teams to drive AUM growth in the region. The incumbent will work closely with the Head of WMS, Australia, and New Zealand to help drive WMS to its long-term growth and development.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with key stakeholders in the Australian and New Zealand private wealth channel. Work in conjunction with the Head of WMS Australia to develop a plan to generate greater sales, higher asset levels and improved client service. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve AUM growth targets. Assist with product development by identifying and sharing the key needs and gaps from clients back to the Head of WMS Australia and WMS product teams. Gather and share market insight and competitor intel to help WMS stakeholder understand competitive positioning. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the products offered by WMS and Ares Management Group. Thoroughly understand and communicate Ares' investment philosophy, process, objectives, and positioning Partner with Client Services team to meet clients' need in a timely and professional manner. Adhere to all compliance guidelines including use of pre-approved marketing materials, prospectus requirements and proper licensing. Fulfill in a timely manner required administrative/team responsibilities such as Salesforce CRM data, call reporting, expense reports, conference calls and meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or international equivalent in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or related field with exceptional academic credentials.

Skills and Abilities Required:

10y+ distribution/business development experience across public and private markets into the private wealth or listed channels. Strong business development skills with a proven ability to raise capital and build deep relationships through active listening and delivering client service to the highest standards. Strategic and creative thinker with a passion for problem solving to achieve the best outcome for clients. Self-motivated team player with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a collegial, fast moving, demanding, and dynamic environment. Excellent communication and written skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Attention to detail. Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness.
