Assetlink expanded its Integrated Facilities Services into the Mining Sector in 2020, specifically delivering Village Services to mining companies in remote Australian locations. Assetlink Village Services (AVS) has grown at a steady rate, and we are now seeking the next future leader or two to grow alongside us.
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee the procurement of goods for retail operations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure effective retail management. This role involves strategic planning, inventory management, supplier negotiation, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. This position will work closely with other departments to support the company’s retail strategy and operational goals.
This role is typically based in Perth but may require occasional travel. Some evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines or address urgent issues.

About You
While below is what we need, the General Manager is excited to know what you need to succeed and what you can bring to this role, so the below is by no means mandatory but will be regarded highly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and or retail management specifically in remote villages is preferred
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, retail operations, and inventory management. Switpos knowledge will be highly regarded
- Proven experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Proficiency in procurement software, retail management systems, and inventory control tools
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Unrestricted driver's license
