What does a Graduate Water Resources Engineer in our Water team do?
Assisting in the design of drainage systems for urban developments, roads, and infrastructure projects, ensuring efficient stormwater management.Supporting the development of flood models using industry-standard software (e.g., TUFLOW, HEC-RAS) to assess flood behaviour and risks.Applying Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) guidelines to hydrological assessments, catchment analysis, and stormwater design.Contributing to highway and road drainage design , including culvert and stormwater pit layout, pipe hydraulics, and erosion control measures.Supporting the assessment and design of water quality treatment measures , such as bio-retention basins or wetlands, to meet sustainability goals.Assisting in the preparation of technical reports, flood mapping and calculations for client and regulatory submissions.Processing and interpreting GIS flood model results to produce flood maps, catchment delineation, and spatial analysis for planning and design.Collaborating with experienced engineers and professionals across disciplines to develop holistic water management solutions.Engaging with clients and stakeholders to support project approvals and compliance with industry regulations.Work on a variety of exciting infrastructure, urban development, and flood management projects .Gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge engineering tools and software .Receive mentorship and training from industry experts to develop your career.Be part of a supportive, collaborative, and forward-thinking team .
