We are seeking a mid-level Engineer with experience in water and sewer design and resource management to join our team. This position could be based out of Warners Bay or Central Coast office.

The primary objective for this role is to work closely with project teams in the scoping, planning, management, design, and construction of water and sewer related assets. This involves strategy development, engineering design, report writing, and delivery of documentation for approval and construction of water and sewer infrastructure.

As an Engineer within the water resource group, you will:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to master planning development areas through water and sewer servicing strategy planning;
  • Develop and manage concept and detailed design of water and sewer reticulation;
  • Develop and manage concept and detailed design of complex works water and sewer assets such as wastewater pumping stations, water pumping stations, PRV's, trunk water and sewer mains, & reservoirs;
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of specialist consultants to achieve the best outcomes for stakeholders;

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering;
  • 3+ years relevant industry experience, preferably within an engineering design consultancy or water authority environment;
  • Extensive knowledge of local design standards and water authority codes;
  • Comprehensive design skills and working knowledge of design programs AutoCAD, Pipes++, WATHAM, INFOWORKS, or other hydraulic design software programs;
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet established deadlines;
  • Possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Lateral thinking skills to tackle and overcome complex engineering problems;
