Managing Consultant - Contaminated Land and Site Investigation

Eco-friendly environmental resources management expert sought to join our dynamic team in Sydney CBD office, supporting our Contaminated Site Assessment and Remediation Team (Liability Portfolio Management and Remediation services).

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated managing/senior environmental consultant with 5-8 years of experience in contaminated site management consulting. You will be part of a technical team responsible for consulting on contaminated sites within NSW, conducting investigation and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel on site.
  2. Conduct environmental assessments and remediation works involving data collection (soil, soil gas/vapour, groundwater).
  3. Prepare complex technical reports in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
  4. Manage electronic data and produce borelogs and summary tables.
  5. Assist with client proposal preparation and support project managers through planning and delivering field programs.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in contaminated land industry.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, soil science or other related science subject degree).
  • Strong understanding of health & safety requirements on complex work sites.
  • Leadership and coordination of field programs, including mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Proven report writing skills and experience in supervising sub-contractors on site.
  • Competency in preliminary and detailed site investigation techniques.
  • Australian full Drivers Licence issued by an Australian state or territory.
