Job Description: Kubernetes SME- Infrastructure and DevOps Developer
 
Experience Level  Min 6-12 Years 
  • Hands on experience on Linux operating system administration and proficiency in Linux command line and shell scripting. 
  • Linux user and group management 
    • Creating, modifying and deleting user accounts 
    • Managing user permissions and group memberships 
    • Hands on in using privileged access management tools like Centrify, CyberArk, Microsoft Azure AD will be a value add. 
  • Linux file system and backup management 
    • Manage disk space and partitions 
    • Configuring and managing RAID arrays 
  • Oversee server administration, ensuring optimal performance, security and reliability 
  • Experience in virtualization technologies like VMware 
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture – including nodes, pods, services, deployments and namespaces. 
    • Familiarity with key Kubernetes objects 
    • Hands on in using K8S management tools using tools like Openlens, kubectl, Lens etc. 
    • Familiarity with K8S resource management and cluster health performance monitoring – hands on tools like Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK etc. 
    • Managing containers with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes 
    • Integrating with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Gilab CI etc is a value add. 
    • Basic understanding of Apache ActiveMQ** and Kafka* 
  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals 
    • Configuring network interface, routing and hostname resolution 
    • Managing network services 
    • Hands on in using network diagnostic tools like ping, netstat, traceroute, ip and ip tables 
    • Good knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP 
  • Experience in implementing security best practices  
    • Operating systems patching experience 
  • Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to accomplish the task.  
    • Triage and route calls / tickets to appropriate resources and domains who can best support to address the issue/problem adhering to the SLA. 
  • Basic understanding on Zero Trust cybersecurity principles 
  • Industry/domain experience in Electric Utility / Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) is a value add.
