Support Services- Team Leader

We have a great opportunity for a Support Services Team Leader to join our team reporting to the Support Services Manager.
The position will oversee the delivery of a range of housekeeping, catering and environmental services and to provide a safe and quality oriented service to patients, staff, service providers and visitors of the hospital.In addition to hands-on duties as a Team Leader working alongside team members, you will organise staff rosters and manage leave; efficiently allocate resources according to operational needs; ensure cleaning tasks and related environmental services daily activities are completed in accordance with WPH policies, procedures and schedules; assist with laundry/linen and waste services; provide support, direction & training to staff; ensure all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas; and the cleaning service provided meets all cleaning and safety requirements, policies, standards, licenses and legislation.Selection Criteria Minimum of 1 years of experience in hospital cleaning and previous experience as a Team Leader overseeing Housekeeping / Cleaning / Catering/Environmental Services desirable.
Strong leadership skills - able to give direction, motivate and train staff, and promote teamwork Effective written and verbal communication and great interpersonal skills Ability to meet the physical aspects of the position, e.g. lifting, pushing trolleys, mopping, etc Self-motivated and 'hands-on' approach to function effectively and be responsive in a busy, changing and demanding environment Demonstrated commitment to high customer service and quality improvement Flexibility to work across a rotating roster and to cover staff leave as required You will possess a good work ethic that includes punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to professional practice Broad knowledge of auditing and compliance with current cleaning/chemical safety/infection control standards for ACT health facilitiesWhy Healthscope?
