They keenly invest in and utilise modern agricultural technology and techniques, to stay at the cutting edge of new developments in industry.The RoleWith the owner now taking a step back, a new position, General Manager, has been created to lead the on-farm team.
This important appointment in the family business ensures you will have a reporting line only to the supportive owner/Board Chairman and enjoy significant operational autonomy.You will be responsible for:Driving business growthLead a seasonal workforce and a permanent team of eightManage cropping operations and external contractorsOverseeing the comprehensive plant fleetManage budgets, compliance, and financial operations.The role works closely in conjunction with the in-house finance/ admin team.The PersonTo be successful in this role you will have:Excellent communication and leadership skillsExperience in an irrigated and broadacre farming enterpriseKnowledge of WHS in agricultureProactive, flexible, and responsive attitudeWillingness to work closely with the family as this role developsYou might be in a corporate environment looking to get out into a leading farming business, with the freedom to operate and autonomy to utilise all your skills and influence.
