About the Role
**Research responsibilities**:
- Assist in the design of research studies, including hypothesis generation, protocol development, data analysis plan and target audience/readership for presentations and publications.
- Participate in recruitment of participants to departmental research projects, including obtaining informed consent.
- Be responsible for study visits and procedures in relation to the clinical research projects being undertaken, in conjunction with the supervising senior Endocrinology clinician-scientist and Endocrine nurse.
- Undertake data management, including the generation of databases where relevant and appropriate statistical analysis of the data set for a given study.
- Submit abstracts for presentation of your work to national and international scientific meetings.
- Preparation of a draft manuscript for any study in which you are the first author, and contribution to the editing and refinement of manuscripts for which you are a co-author
- Clinical care of clinical trial participants
