This role provides effective client-focused financial services to Queensland Health and will coordinate the provision of financial, budgetary and management information for business line, executive and departmental reporting.

**Your key responsibilities within the role include**:

- Developing a robust knowledge of the business in order to be able to provide advice and analysis to key stakeholders, including understanding of cost structures and drivers.
- Develop, monitor, analyse and report on the allocated budget for and revenue targets through key performance drivers.
- Assist in the development, co-ordination, monitoring and maintenance of the relevant service line financial management and systems.
- Provide confidential, effective and efficient budgetary and financial service and support to financial performance and relevant Management.
- Maintain a variety of cost objects in S/4HANA including cost centres and internal orders in consultation with and on behalf of other directorates.
- Assist in the compilation of financial and non-financial reporting and other documents for Management including briefs and project documents.
- Undertake analysis of labour costs and FTE to assist with payroll assurance. Prepare financial and human resource reports in formats that assist decision-making and meet the needs of Management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including Financial Accountability Act, and other Queensland Health policy documents including Financial Management Practice Manual, Purchasing Guidelines and Queensland Health Business Rules.

To be successful in this position you will need the following key competencies:

- Demonstrated ability or the ability to rapidly knowledge in the extraction and interpretation of data from Financial/Human Resource systems, preferably SAP (S/4HANA) and DSS Necto.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare financial and human resource management reports to assist decision
- making, including the ability to utilise relevant software.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven effective consultative, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills appropriate to an environment of change and evolution.
