Our Utilities division is currently seeking a Business Performance Officer.

This will be a key supporting role in enabling strategic business decisions through accurate data interpretation, financial and contract performance analysis, and the development of insightful reports and dashboards. This position will help operationalise and maintain data systems (e.g., ERP and SharePoint), ensuring alignment with reporting and business improvement initiatives across the Utilities Division.

Reporting Line: Business Performance Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Business Performance Manager to support the implementation of business performance frameworks and tools.
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualise critical project, financial, and operational data.
- Liaise with ERP system owners and users to ensure data accuracy, interface integration, and reporting alignment.
- Support the development and maintenance of SharePoint sites and lists, workflows, and document libraries to enable performance tracking and governance.
- Assist in data extraction, cleansing, and transformation from business systems for analysis and reporting.
- Analyse contract performance, cost recovery, and delivery trends to identify insights, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support performance reviews across PMO, O&M, and project delivery contracts.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of reports, data sources, and improvement recommendations.
- Enable the delivery of the PMO strategic operating model.

Experience required
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and business performance within a contracting or project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their interfaces, especially in relation to financial, project, or contract performance.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Power Query, and data modelling, with exposure to database creation.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Online for workflow automation, content management, and user interface design.
- Exposure to financial processes such as cost control, budgeting, forecasting, or performance analysis.
- Proven ability to work across business functions and with technical and operational stakeholders.

Qualifications required
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Systems, Commerce, or related field.
- Microsoft certifications or professional development in Power BI or SharePoint (desirable).
- Lean or continuous improvement methodology knowledge (desirable).
