We are seeking a part-time Maintenance Assistant to join the team at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium. This role is a part time 20 hours per week contract spread across a 7 day roster cycle, including regular weekends and public holidays.

**About the Role**

Your role is to work within a small maintenance team to ensure all aspects of building are in good working order to smooth business operations. This includes:

- Respond to and complete maintenance requests
- Regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and assets
- Assist with contractor and supplier management
- Carry out preventative maintenance of plant and equipment

**About You**

You must have experience using hand and power tools. This combined with some maintenance/general handyman experience is an absolute must for this role. This is a fast paced, guest facing environment, so the ability to think on your feet and problem solve will be key in this role.

You are a good communicator and are able to build good relationships with your colleagues. You have the ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach to your work. You are able to meet deadlines and have planning, organisational and time management experience.
