PHE currently have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our team in our corporate office in Fortitude Valley office.If you are looking for a fast-paced, diverse role, where you will be supported as you start your Accounting Career whilst gaining exposure into the Mining and Construction industry this is a fantastic opportunity.It is an exciting time to join as PHE has 50 years of experience and provides electrical and instrumentation operations support services to clients throughout Australia including mining, hydropower generation, remote gas power generation plants, food and beverage, pulp and paper manufacturing, and timber processing industries and is known for the excellent care we take with clients and employees alike.We are a growing Industrial Electrical Contracting company with projects and branch locations in NSW, QLD, SA and WA that offers its employees a safe, efficient and rewarding work environment that promotes personal and professional growth.This is a full-time Graduate Accountant role where you will need to demonstrate excellent attention to detail, and time management skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.In this role you will:Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare monthly general journal postings: depreciation, accruals, prepaymentsPost inter-company debtor/creditor settlements and loan reconciliationsReconcile plant and equipment leasesMaintaining Trust ledgers, bank reconciliations and trial balances (excel and Xero)Assisting Group Accountant with monthly reporting and year end processesReconcile Wages and superannuationAssist with Adhoc projectsLiase with Administration team across the businessYou will bring the following skills and experience to the role:Good understanding of Excel & Microsoft Office SuiteHighly developed written and verbal communication skillsKnowlege of Xero and MYOB EXO is preferred, but not essentialProblem-solving skillsAbility to work autonomously and part of a team.The successful candidate will have:Qualification in Business, Finance or AccountingBe able to pass a National Police CheckAbout PHE:PHE is actively involved in major projects within the Cadia Mine NSW, Carrapateena Mine SA, Snowy Hydro NSW scheme, Agnew & Gruyere (Power Station) WA, Solar Farm NT, Evolution Mining (Cracow) QLD.
