PHE currently has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountant to join our team at our corporate office in Fortitude Valley.If you are seeking a fast-paced, diverse role where you will be supported as you start your accounting career and gain exposure to the mining and construction industries, this is a fantastic opportunity.PHE has 50 years of experience providing electrical and instrumentation operations support services across Australia, including mining, hydropower, remote gas power generation, food and beverage, pulp and paper manufacturing, and timber processing industries.
We are known for our excellent care for clients and employees.We are a growing industrial electrical contracting company with projects and branches in NSW, QLD, SA, and WA, offering a safe, efficient, and rewarding work environment that promotes growth.This full-time Graduate Accountant role requires excellent attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.In This Role You WillPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare general journal entries: depreciation, accruals, prepaymentsPost inter-company debtor/creditor settlements and loan reconciliationsReconcile plant and equipment leasesMaintain trust ledgers, bank reconciliations, and trial balances (Excel and Xero)Assist Group Accountant with monthly reporting and year-end processesReconcile wages and superannuationAssist with ad hoc projectsCoordinate with the administration team across the businessSkills and ExperienceGood understanding of Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of Xero and MYOB EXO preferred but not essentialProblem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a teamThe Successful Candidate Will HaveQualification in Business, Finance, or AccountingAbility to pass a National Police CheckAbout PHEPHE is involved in major projects such as the Cadia Mine NSW, Carrapateena Mine SA, Snowy Hydro NSW, Power Station WA, Solar Farm NT, Evolution Mining QLD, and more, supporting various industries across Australia.Our people and their safety are our primary responsibility.We encourage our team to reach their full potential.Our success depends on having the right people with the right attitude.Why Choose Us?
