About the role:

- We are looking for an experienced Automotive Buyer to work across the Sydney region, to manage the end-to-end purchasing of vehicles, as well as support the scaling of our current purchasing capabilities. You'll spend up to 80% of your time on the road with the remaining 20% office-based.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ownership of vehicle purchasing within your region, across a number of different avenues including auctions, private sales and wholesalers.
- Develop ongoing working relationships with vehicle providers to support the growth of Carma's current purchasing capabilities. Liaise with Carma customers looking to trade in their vehicles.
- Keep all purchasing related systems up to date with urgency and accuracy.
- Partner with key business stakeholders to help increase Carma's purchasing capabilities on a local and interstate level. Support the wider buying team in other regions as required

**About You**:

- Experience in automotive buying, ideally with exposure to a number of avenues including dealerships, auction and private sales.
- Comfortable in a highly autonomous role, and taking initiative on all purchasing requirements Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Deep understanding across a variety of vehicle brands, models and makes. Passionate about the quality of vehicles and keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do.
- Valid drivers licence, and comfortable spending up to 80% of your time on the road, usually around metro Sydney, with some 2 - 3 hour trips on occasion.
- Comfortable working outside of normal business as required
