An experienced
Data
Project Manager
is required to deliver a critical data platform project within a large and complex government environment. The role focuses on managing the implementation and expansion of enterprise data platform capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making through scalable, secure, and modern infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with technical leads to define and manage project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Engage with stakeholders across internal business units and partner agencies to drive delivery of project outcomes.
Manage project budgets in collaboration with strategic finance teams, including tracking of actuals and forecasting.
Provide regular program board reporting and prepare briefing notes for executive stakeholders.
Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and reviews.
Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Demonstrated experience delivering
data platform implementation and expansion projects
in complex environments.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving
skills with the ability to manage both detail and strategic outcomes.
Proven experience applying
Agile and DevOps
methodologies in project delivery.
Highly effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Highly Desirable:
Experience working with
health or government data platforms
and reporting environments.
Familiarity with
Microsoft data platforms
, including Azure, Power BI, or Microsoft Fabric.
This is a short- term opportunity to deliver meaningful data capability improvements in a government setting, working with modern cloud technologies and a strong collaborative delivery team.
