Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking Operator Truck Drivers to work underground at our Granny Smith operation.
We are interested in sharing this opportunity with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander individuals interested in progressing their careers in this field.Reporting to the Supervisor: Underground, you will be responsible for operating underground trucks safely, effectively, and efficiently to meet operational requirements.Safety is a core value at Gold Fields, and we expect all employees to act in a manner that enhances our safety culture and performance.This role follows an 8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster, with FIFO options from Perth or DIDO for local community members.Benefits include:Stability - Granny Smith has a 10-year mine life6% Site Allowance, Quarterly Bonus Scheme, and Private Health Insurance AllowanceSalary continuance scheme and life insuranceVirgin Velocity reward pointsOpportunities for continual training and career developmentSalary Sacrifice optionsKey duties:Be organized and prepared to undertake all tasks assigned by the SupervisorProvide handovers and technical support to team membersMaintain excellent housekeeping standardsOperate machines to meet production targetsEnsure all pre-start checks are completed and personnel are fit for work on scheduled daysAccurately report activities to Pitram, including loading location and material typeAbout You:Experience operating underground trucks in an underground environmentGood understanding of machinery and mobile mechanical equipment careValid manual driver's licenseDangerous Goods and Working at Heights cards are desirableEnthusiastic about learning new roles and developing within underground crewsThe filling of this position is intended to constitute a special/equal opportunity measure under section 8 (1) of the Racial Discrimination Act 1975 (Cth), s50d and s51 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).
