**About the Team**

As part of the Electronic Solutions Team at Rheinmetall Defence, The **Service and Support Technician IES** reports through to our Project Manager Operations.

The Electronics Solutions team is part of the global integrated team who work closely together to manage the program execution of the LAND 400 Phase 2 Contract with the Commonwealth of Australia, and assist with the capture of export markets in the Asia Pacific region.

The Electronics Solutions team will expand as RDA continues to grow. This role is based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Ipswich.

**About the role**

Reporting to the Project Manager Operations, the **Service and Support Technician IES** is responsible for ensuring the service (maintenance, troubleshooting and rework) of Electronics Equipment at the OEM Facility MILVEHCOE in accordance with the Prime Contract, management and delivery of allocated work packages and support the development of Technology Transfer Plans within the Rheinmetall entities.

This position will require the successful applicant to be located in Brisbane, QLD.

- **Service and Support Technician IES,** you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Indepent fault finding and troubleshooting (electrical, mechanical, optical) on complex Systems/boxes;
- Maintenance of IES components;
- Documentation of conducted work packages;
- Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered at any times;
- Communication with suppliers for the specific IES parts;
- Support in developing solutions for mechanical/electrical/optical issues;
- Assist in creation of maintenance and support concepts;
- Advise customer regarding issues and further development;
- Conduct Software integration/Updates on component or system Level;
- Support in creating calculation and breakdowns for offers.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

- Cert IV in Electronics/Mechanics/Aviation;
- Experience (5+ years) in Electronics/ Optics Production environment;
- Defence Industry or Simulation Industry;
- Experience in usage of electrical/optical test equipment;
- Resilient in working under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Operational knowledge and capability of the Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint;
- Ability and willingness to conduct business trips on request.
