Overview

Global Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd has an opportunity for an experienced E&I Technician to join our team. This role is based on-site on the Santos Project, working a FIFO rotational roster (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off). Working closely with our long-standing client, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of pipeline and lease construction projects across the Cooper Basin.

Responsibilities
  • Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems (LV/HV) on fixed plant and process equipment on Oil & Gas infrastructures.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs and loop diagrams.
  • Perform glanding and termination of LV/HV cables in accordance with site and hazardous area requirements.
  • Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on pumps, compressors, and other key process infrastructure.
  • Assist with commissioning and shutdown activities in live plant environments.
  • Ensure all ITPs (Inspection and Test Plans) and FICs (Field Inspection Checklists) are followed and correctly documented.
  • Assist in compiling and reviewing E&I MDRs (Manufacturing Data Reports).
  • Work closely with supervisors and QA teams to ensure compliance with client specifications and project standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in the Oil, Gas and Energy sector.
  • Unrestricted Electrical Licence.
  • Instrumentation qualifications (required cert 3 & 4)
  • Strong focus on electrical safety, isolations and permit to work systems.
  • Must have current driver's licence.
  • Construction White Card.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
