**The Role**

As a Banking Operations Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding member services while ensuring efficient and compliant banking operations. You will work closely with the Manager of Banking Services and collaborate with various departments to maintain the highest level of service quality and regulatory compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process various banking-related requests, including foreign currency orders, travel cards, international transfers, bank cheques, and more.
- Handle ATM and Visa card administration, investigate card failures, and manage emergency card/cash requests for overseas members.
- Monitor and report on inbound and outbound transactions, identify potential fraud, and liaise with fraud monitoring services.
- Administer direct entry processes, manage member chequing files, and maintain dynamic sweep facilities.
- Support front-line staff with complex memberships, trust/superannuation accounts, and internet banking/phone passwords.
- Process deceased estates, term deposit maturity instructions, and broker-initiated term deposits.
- Demonstrate risk awareness and compliance with regulatory guidelines, adhering to QBANK's policies and procedures.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Tier 2 General Advice certification in General Insurance and Deposit Products, or approved equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar banking operations role.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet usage.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivate, and promote a risk-averse and compliant workplace.
- General knowledge of banking legislation, regulations, and prudential standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
