Our international engineering client operates in the energy market and provides a range of electrical engineering and grid connection services for utilities and energy companies. Their team in Brisbane is growing and they are looking for an experienced
**Principal Power Systems Consultant** delivering power systems studied and network planning projects.

This role is a pivotal part of our client's team, offering a unique opportunity to technically lead and execute Power Systems projects across generation, transmission, and distribution sectors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Serve as the technical lead for consulting engagements, conducting and overseeing technical studies, including integration, compliance studies, load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis.
- Develop proposals, maintain key client relationships, and act as a trusted advisor to a select group of clients in both public and private sectors.
- Ensure project delivery on cost, on time, with client satisfaction, and adherence to QA procedures.
- Lead and mentor a team of Senior and Junior Power Systems Engineers.

**Essential Qualifications and Skills**:

- Relevant degree qualification with post-graduation experience in power system analysis
- Expert knowledge in network planning, grid connection, earthing, protection, power quality, and electromagnetic transients.
- Proficiency in network simulation software like PSS/E, PowerFactory, and/or PSCAD.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Chartered Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer Queensland and/or Victoria.
