**About the role**:
General cleaning throughout the municipality including but not limited to Streets, Car parks, Right of Ways, Parks and reserves. Removal of Dumped Rubbish, Litter, Dead animals, Sharps (syringes). Sweeping of Shopping/activity Centres, residential streets, bus shelters, and Footpaths by both mechanical and manual means. Litter Bin Collection.

General operators will be required to complete training in the use of the Street Sweepers, Footpath Sweeper, Combo Truck, Pits and Drain Cleaning, as well as other identified training within the unit. Participate in regular overtime to service the needs of the Saturday morning and Sunday morning programs.

To be successful in this position you must be someone who enjoys contact with the community and working within a dynamic team to ensure Councils Street Cleansing services are delivered to a top standard.

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- A current Victorian Drivers Licence with Medium Rigid Endorsement,
- Demonstrated experience in driving trucks in built up areas and operating a range of small plant and equipment.
- Demonstrated experience in providing a high standard of street cleansing and / or related maintenance programs
