**Company**:
A well-established company known in manufacturing and distribution of compressed gases and cryogenic liquids to almost all industries, ranging from heavy industry and manufacturing, to healthcare and specialty users such as laboratories. Now seeking the assistance of a Business Development Specialist to join their thriving team in Melbourne to focus on the industrial clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage customer relationships and daily industrial sales activities within Melbourne to achieve sales targets and sustainable profitable growth.
- Grow own territory in securing and increasing gas / liquid sales with new and existing customers.
- Produce proposals, detailed costing and contract documents to ensure all transactions deliver maximum profit to the business.
- Manage relationships and contracts for all customers in designated sales territory to ensure long term and commercially profitable relationships.
- Complete all paperwork and reporting required by standard operating procedures.
- Identify safety and health hazards, report all risks, hazards, incidents, near misses and accidents.
- Support all internal and external auditing activities for the area that you are responsible for.
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering or Trade background in Mechanical or Welding
- 1-2-years' experience in a sales role selling into industrial markets such as Food & Beverage, Automotive, Mining or General Manufacturing ideal.
- Knowledge of the gas industry and safety requirements desirable.
- Strong sales skills and understanding of the sales process for Key Account development
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
