Role and responsibilities
Our Melbourne Campuses are looking to welcome full-time Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educators with at least two years of full-time work experience in an Early Childhood setting to join a friendly, supportive, and fun team. This is a full-time role for a Diploma qualified Room Leader with an annual salary of $68,865 to $78,000 + Super, depending on qualifications and experience.
Ensure child safety and welfare at all times by actively supervising and interacting with children.
Educate and care for children to high standards, engaging them in meaningful, open interactions that support life and learning skills.
Interact with each child in a warm and responsive way and build trusting relationships.
Foster a nurturing environment for children at the campus.
Provide childcare services that comply with national regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), and support the Early Years Learning Framework.
Contribute to documentation for Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) requirements.
Ensure delivery and maintenance of routines and programs specific to the room, including small groups.
Implement the Grow curriculum within the Campus.
Document children's learning through the OAC Connect app and support/mentor other team members.
Create and set up engaging learning environments aligned with OAC Grow.
Work as part of a team, supporting and respecting colleagues about developmental outcomes and school readiness in consultation with the Campus Director.

Create meaningful partnerships with families, children, and educators to achieve positive outcomes
Plan and program with support from the OAC Grow Curriculum and EYLF
Maintain ongoing records of the children's development
Assist with daily room tasks, e.g., activity preparation and meal times
Maintain an ongoing commitment to child safety and wellbeing in everyday practices

Locations include Melbourne City, Melbourne East, Melbourne West, North Melbourne, and South Melbourne.

Qualifications and experience
A Diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognised Registered Training Organisation (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
Minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience
Genuine passion for Early Childhood education and development
Creative, supportive, and cooperative team player
Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
Programming, planning, snapshots
Ability to manage the team within the room
Experience with communicating and liaising with parents and families
Documenting children's learning
Establishing room routines
