With two production & processing hubs, along with eight mine/development projects in Western Australia, we are excited to announce the start of the new Dalgaranga underground mining operation.
Recruiting has commenced immediately to build out a fantastic team of superstars to tackle the high grade Never Never and Pepper deposits.
Dalgaranga sits within the wider Mt Magnet hub, which has produced some 2.1 million ounces of gold for Ramelius since its purchase in 2014.
The mine life now exceeds 17 + years for the wider operations.
THE ROLE The Dalgaranga gold mine is currently establishing the commencement of underground operations, with resource definition and geological activities increasing.Reporting to the Geology Technician Leading Hand, you will: Support Geologists in marking out ore and waste zones and visually identifying ore during pit excavation.
Manage sample collection and logistics associated with Grade Control drilling activities.
Monitor and sample stockpiles to verify correct material classification and blending.
Maintain and calibrate field tools and ensure sampling equipment is clean and operational.
Input geological data accurately and promptly into databases or software systems.
Process drill core samples including orientation, cutting, photographing, and portable X-ray (pXRF) devices.
Collaborate with Geologists, Engineers, and Production teams to ensure efficient and effective open-pit operations.
ABOUT YOU You're a practical team player who thrives in a dynamic mining environment.
With solid technical skills and a collaborative mindset, you deliver accurate, efficient results safely and consistently.
We are looking for someone who brings: Physical fitness with an understanding of safe lifting techniques.
Some previous experience in a similar role across an open pit mining environment.
Core processing experience would be beneficial.
Work as part of a team, participate in safety meetings and have positive communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail, ensure daily tasks met and good computer skills.
Adaptable with the ability to pick up new tasks quickly.
High Risk Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
Open to future night shift experience or a willingness to undertake a continuous shift work rosters.
A current West Australian C Class (manual) driver's licence and the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance for site access clearance.
