**Accountabilities include**: - Providing strategic oversight across the entire portfolio to ensure TMR's primary and subordinate legislation programs are delivered effectively and efficiently and clearly articulate TMR intent and implementation actions as required. Providing guidance and advice in the preparation of all legislation related briefs, submissions, minutes and associated documentation to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and business processes. Providing robust and accurate advice about regulatory assessments and human rights assessments to ensure that TMR's legislative activities comply with all government protocols and legislated requirements. Providing legislation and Parliamentary Committee advice to TMR to ensure the TMR policy and legislative program gains correct and timely Cabinet, Cabinet Committee or Governor in Council approval. - Developing and implementing strategies and policies relating to governance functions and activities associated with the delivery of TMR's legislative program. - Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders such as the Office of the Queensland Parliamentary Counsel, the Office of Best Practice Regulation and the Department of the Premier and Cabinet to support the effective delivery of TMR's legislative program. - Leading the Legislation Working Group for TMR to ensure that close and collaborative relationships are formed with all stakeholders to enhance timely and efficient Cabinet, Legislation and Parliamentary-related business outcomes. - Preparing reports, correspondence, briefing notes, submissions ensuring compliance with whole-of-government policies, standards and timelines. - Fostering and promoting a team environment and team attitude that encourages open communication, innovative thinking and acceptance of change. - Conducting information sessions, workshops and training programs on legislative procedures and processes. - Coordinating the secure storage and handling of legislation documents within TMR, in compliance with relevant departmental and government-wide guidelines. - Actively participating in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.
This position reports to the Director and CLLO (Cabinet, Legislation and Executive Services) and has three direct reports.

**Highly desirable requirements**: - Knowledge and understanding of Queensland's regulatory environment.
