Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Legislation Reform Professional to lead our efforts in developing key legislation, transport infrastructure projects, strategies, policies, and plans for an integrated transport system across Queensland.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a legislative program to support the planning, protection, construction, operation, and maintenance of transport infrastructure, corridors, networks, and services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement complex policy and legislative projects to ensure alignment with departmental objectives and government priorities.
  • Prepare cabinet submissions, ministerial correspondence, briefing notes, and policy and research papers for senior managers.
  • Represent the department in stakeholder working groups, committees, and forums on policy and legislative matters.
  • Provide high-level advice and guidance to senior managers on strategic and operational matters.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a positive team culture.
