Our client is the largest privately-owned optical group in the world, operating across 10 countries globally. The Technology department and Technical Services team is embarking on an exciting journey of growth.
**About the Role**
The Solution Designer (Audiology) works across a wide variety of technologies and functions to design, build and implement required technology solutions to support the needs of the Audiology business. This role reports into the Infrastructure Design Lead.
**Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with Solution Designers/Solution Architects in the technical design of technology solutions.
- Analyse and respond appropriately to technical queries and issues across domain of expertise.
- Develop/configure/adapt technology solutions to meet approved technical designs.
- Support environments, testing, deployment and implementation activities of the developed solutions.
- Support the transition of developed solutions into Service.
- Lead and mentor the team in your technical domain.
- Contribute to the realisation of the strategic technology vision
**Essential Skills/Experience**
- 5+yrs of experience designing, implementing and supporting technology solutions using appropriate:
- Hands on PC and usb / Bluetooth peripheral deployment and support.
- Packaging of COTS apps for SCCM / Intune deployment.
- System modelling (Visio, Abacus, ERWin).
- Cloud/SAS technologies including Azure, Office 365, SCCM and Intune endpoint management, platforms (Windows 10, Virtualization, Storage / SAN, Wireless, VoIP, WAN, Firewall, etc.
- Scripting languages (Bash, Powershell, vbscript etc.)
- Experience in working in multi-functional, operational support teams.
- Active self-initiated learner with a sound approach to finding solutions to technical challenges.
**Desirable Skills / Experience**
- Experience using, deploying and supporting a range of clinical hardware including optical and audiology equipment & a range of retail hardware including tills, EFT & printers.
- Current, formal technical Certifications on technologies including Microsoft Windows, Azure, AWS Cloud, Networking.
- Vendor management or SAS product consultancy.
