**About the Role - It is a Melbourne based assignment that will allow suitable resources to work remotely from Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.**

The ideal person will have extensive software development and solution design experience. You will be well versed with modern design and engineering practices including the latest trends in the industry.

Experience delivering in an agile environment coupled with your ability to quickly grasp new concepts would set you apart from your peers.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Ask the right questions to keep things moving forward
- Understand the inner workings of different Digital and Core Banking systems and how they integrate with each other
- Required to work very closely with the solution architects and constantly aligning the solution with different assets in the digital landscapes.
- Able to translate the high-level architectural documents into a detailed solution design document scoping out the downstream interfaces by working with solution designers in different areas.
- Socialise and work with developers on the detailed design.
- Spot potential design gaps and risks (and assess their impact)
- Deliver solutions across a range of technologies and platforms
- Get your hands dirty with code to undertake analysis and to ensure solutions align with engineering reality.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with different areas of the business - from stakeholders and Project Managers to Technical Services and Asset Specialists
- Lead workshops and create agendas that have clear outcomes
- Keep records and help maintain a central knowledge repository with details about models, patterns, guidelines and standards and project deliverables
- Make significant design decisions - and recognise when changes need to be made
- Socialise and get acceptance on suggested solutions and be bold enough to question the approach if they do not fit strategic direction
- Work closely with stakeholders to curate and suggest options to ideas and mitigate risks

**Technology Skills**:

- JAVA, SQL, Oracle, React, Angular.JS, Node.JS
- Kafka, Rest, API Design,
- Web Services and Micro Services.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge a bonus.
- Experience in agile digital team delivery.
