**Associate Director - Family Law Division**
- Ongoing - Full Time position
- Clerk Grade 12, 2nd Year - $168,130 pa plus super and annual leave loading
- Location - Central Sydney Office at Haymarket. Flexible work arrangements are negotiable, but this role requires regular travel within Greater Sydney and occasionally across NSW.

**About us**:
Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.

**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced senior manager with demonstrated extensive Family practice experience. The role will be responsible for providing senior leadership plus strategic direction to allocated offices and teams across Greater Sydney to ensure coordinated high-quality cross divisional services are provided to clients, communities and regions.

**About you**:

- You will have extensive experience within your practice area with strong collaborative skills.
- You will be able to demonstrate your strong senior management experience and will enjoy proactively contributing to strategic priorities and planning.
- Your ability to work both autonomously and as part of a large team/division is a vital attribute.

We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.

**The key knowledge and essential requirements for this role**:
**Key Knowledge and Experience**:

- Qualifications to practice as an Australian Legal Practitioner
- NSW Practising Certificate (unrestricted or eligible for unrestricted practicing certificate)

**Essential Requirements**:

- Demonstrated senior management experience
- Practice expertise in Family Law
- be willing to do a Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check
- hold Australian or NZ citizenship, Australian Permanent Residency (for ongoing vacancies)
- Drivers Licence
- Ability to undertake regular travel within greater Sydney and at times across NSW

It is a statutory obligation for staff to hold a valid Working With Children Check for this role. You will be required to provide your Working With Children Check details prior to commencement in this role.
