**Position Summary**

Looking to work on a pivotal brownfield mining project with the benefit of being in an office-based role?

Reporting to the Lead Planner/Scheduler, as the **Project Planner/Scheduler** you will be responsible for the establishment of the Project Level 3 Schedule for the Feasibility Reforecast phase of one of our key mining projects. This will include preparing the project L3 Schedule for both the DP and ERA scopes, conducting team reviews, preparing schedule basis, developing commodity curves and supporting the Lead Planner with other planning/ scheduling activities in the Home Office.

The Home Office team, that you will be an integral part of, will be based in the **Brisbane CBD **supported by various 3rd Party Engineering Consultants. As part of your role you will be required to visit the job (field) site on an as needed, business trip basis. The Field Office team will be located at the job site with camp accommodation provided and a FIFO work roster.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Develops and prepares Project L3 Schedule including schedule basis and assumptions document, Project schedule file in conjunction with lead planner / scheduler and the project team.
- Manages progress measurement & performance across all functions.
- Ascertains that the correct scope of work is reflected on all schedules.
- Integrates interdisciplinary schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties. Works with the performing offices to coordinate work sequences with the overall project plan.
- Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations for engineering, procurement and construction activities. Documents assumptions for basis of durations.
- Assists the filed scheduling team to develop quantity release and installation curves for key commodities. As required, reviews and evaluates quantity records to ensure total quantities are represented for a particular discipline or specialty. Develops required job/hour expenditure curves for the project. Assists in determining leveling decisions and participates in quantity curves and person-hours review.
- Performs quantity and person-hour loading for project schedule. Updates schedule at regular intervals with actual and forecast values for person-hours and quantities.
- Reviews schedule data and identifies and acquires the information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines or specialties.
- Determines critical-path and sub critical-path activities for the project and identifies significant activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements. Identifies critical path for discipline or specialty work activities.
- Develops and monitors short term or long-term engineering, procurement and/or construction L5 schedules.
- Monitors schedule deviation for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/workaround solutions for project considerations.
- Participates and schedules meetings with Engineering, procurement and Contracts groups and provides schedule related information to the Project team.
- Participates in discussions with vendors and subcontractors during schedule negotiations or progress reviews. Conducts evaluation of bids issued by subcontractors.
- Responsible for schedule resource loading and leveling and provides resourcing and commodity curves for team review.
- Updates Project schedule at agreed intervals including incorporating subcontractor schedules; documents key changes and presents for team and Senior Management review.
- Provides input to prepare the Schedule Impact Report and conducts evaluations on schedule trends. Supports development and review of schedule recovery plans, including evaluations of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
