**Full Time/Part Time Veterinary Receptionist - Specialist Referral Practice**

Animal Eye Care was the first stand-alone veterinary referral practice in Australia and has set the standard for providing the highest level of patient care and veterinary ophthalmology for nearly 30 years. We are focused on the care and well-being of the patient and their carers. We do not sell "stuff" and aim to provide the best and most compassionate medical and surgical care.

**Your Responsibilities include**:

- Being the friendly face and voice of the clinic
- Managing client calls and inquiries
- Greeting patients and their carers as they enter the clinic
- Scheduling appointments
- Taking payments and creating invoices for patient carers
- Helping patients and their carers to feel comfortable and reduce any stress - this may involve patting them (the hairy ones) and offering treats (again - the hairy ones)
- Keeping the daily schedule up to date
- Assisting carers to process pet insurance claims
- As your experience grows and you learn more about ophthalmology you will be able to triage patients to ensure they get the appropriate care in a timely manner

**Qualifications, Skills and Attributes**:

- Reception experience in a veterinary, medical, dental or allied health setting
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills
- Flexible team member that gets along with all personalities
- Mature and responsible
- Computer literate and flexible
- Ability to keep calm and work efficiently in a very fast paced clinic
- Likes animals
