Headquartered in Austin, Texas, with 14 offices around the world, Dimensional manages over $650 billion globally.Who We're Looking ForDimensional is looking for a Network Site Reliability Engineer who will be responsible to support and manage Dimensional global network infrastructure and helping to improve the existing tools and solutions used by the Platform Operations SRE team.
This will require contributing to documenting, improving, and executing on-prem and cloud-based network infrastructure management tasks, processes, procedures, and automation.
As the ideal candidate, you are a confident self-starter who's not afraid to get in the details and has a strong and broad network engineering background, communicates well, as well as is passionate about Network Infrastructure services, automation, self-serving services, technology, and teamwork.What You'll DoExecuting assigned network management operational tasks and requests following existing processes, guidelines, and runbooksAnalyzing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network setups and recommend improvementsWorking with carriers and service providers to correct faults, warranty claims, operating system bugs and feature upgrades and road map activitiesActing as the point of contact for our clients on all types of requests generated internally via our monitoring systems or externally from our clientsIdentifying opportunities for automation of network operational tasks and processesDeveloping comprehensive automated workflows and procedures to reduce human intervention in existing network infrastructure management processesCreating and maintaining runbooks and knowledge base documentationWorking with various Infrastructure and Application teams across disciplines to gather requirements and provide guidance through Platform Network services and operationsBuilding and maintaining network monitoring, orchestration and automation solutions, including automated inventory reconciliation and remediation, workflow automation, automated network configuration validation, automated network health monitoring, automated alerts handling and incident remediationEnsuring timely solutions and process improvement and making sure the automation solutions are secure and aligned with the firm's overall strategyContinuously evaluate existing processes with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement in security, processes,application time-to-market, and qualityDocument automation processes, network infrastructure details and all network environment changesIdentify and help to solve bottlenecks and problems using structured analytic approachFollow and implement Operations as Code (OaC), Network as Code (NaC) practices to ensure teams are following guidelines and best practices, including scalability, repeatability, consistency, portability, and security of deployed automation solutionsAssist with managing physical infrastructure equipment in a typical comms/server room, help with remote management and upgrades across Dimensional global infrastructure, collaborate with Telco vendors and local office and building management when neededMonitor the performance of our network infrastructure and develop solutions to address any issuesPerform regular network infrastructure audits to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standardsIdentify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and help enhance quality of internal processes.

This work may be planned or required at short noticeWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual may be required to lift and move/heavy comms room network materials/equipment occasionally.Collaborate with team members and peers across the global teams to ensure work matters are discussed and kept up-to-date.Minimum QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or related job experience7+ years of experience in network infrastructure administration and network configuration management7+ years of hands-on experience with 24/7 production network infrastructure operations5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco routing, including experience with dynamic routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), Cisco switching, including an understanding of VLANs, trunking, and spanning-treeExperience with Wireshark or similar tools for packet capturing and analysisMust have strong testing, problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with an ability to identify stakeholders, assess their needs, and manage their expectations through effective communicationProficient managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to various level of technical and non-technical leadersExperience building services with an API driven approach to enable seamless integration of network tools with various other network related servicesPreferred QualificationsMasters in Computer Science or related field3+ years of experience developing network infrastructure automation, network configuration management frameworks, and tools such as Ansible, Terraform, etc.Experience building and managing cloud-based network infrastructure in Azure/AWS or other public cloudsBuilding and supporting Palo Alto firewallsHands-on experience with setting up and configuring switches and routersHands-on experience with voice network technologies, such as Cisco voice network solutions including Cisco Webex callingHands-on experience with deployment, configuration, and usage of various network monitoring tools to identify and respond to network related problemsProficient in implementing and troubleshooting wireless network technologies (Meraki preferred)Experience supporting remote access VPN solutionsExperience with Cisco ISE authentication systemsGlobal and local load balancing technologiesProficient in implementing and troubleshooting MPLS in a LAN/WAN networkDimensional offers a variety of programs to help take care of you, your family, and your career, including comprehensive benefits, educational initiatives, and special celebrations of our history, culture, and growth.It is the policy of the Company to provide equal opportunity for all employees and applicants.
