3Bridges is a registered charity and not for profit organisation, providing a variety of support services to the communities of South East and South West Sydney. Over the past 40 years, with services from early years, through to aging well, we have provided an array of solutions to make a positive difference in our local communities. Volunteering involves contributing some of your own time, to help make a difference in supporting our community. The 3Bridges volunteering program is flexible and supportive and we will train you with the required skills on your volunteering journey, to assist making a positive difference in your life, and in the life of those around you.

**About the Volunteering Role - Ashfield, Kogarah, Menai, Randwick and Summer Hill**

To support clients in a group setting by assisting the team of support workers in delivering group activities tailored to meet clients' needs.

**Volunteering Duties**
- Assist with group program and activities.
- Interact and support clients attending the group.
- Assist to set up and pack away the room for the days activities as required.
- Assist with refreshment preparations -morning tea, lunch etc.
- Morning tea and Lunch clean ap and pack away.
- Assist the group on outings and out of centre activities.
- Participate in team discussions for group activities as needed.
- Attend volunteer meetings and training as required.
- Engage with clients and encourage their participation in the activities.
- Assist staff with the day to day running of the Centre, e.g., room set up, assist the person with dementia with cognitive games, art, singing, etc.

**You will require**
- No formal qualifications required. Flexibility and a non
- judgmental calm approach. Must be functionally fit and active to work in a Centre with 10-15 members.
- Experience in working with vulnerable people, frail aged or people with disability desired but not essential
- Interested in working with people from all walks of life, ages, gender, religion, bio and cultural diversity.
- Compassionate, inclusive and understanding outlook towards vulnerable members of our community.
