**About the role
To design, implement and evaluate a variety of recreational, diversional and social activities to improve or maintain the physical and mental function of the residents/patients. Staff appointed will be allocated to a designated service but may be required to work across any facility during periods of staff absences and planned rotations. There will be consideration of weekend shifts to meet service needs.
About you
Complete/maintain social profile and lifestyle assessments for clients.
Implement and evaluate activities appropriate to the clients' needs.
Work closely with the MDT and Senior Recreational Officer in developing house-based programs and conduct both facility-based and facility-wide recreational programs and special events
Liaise with community groups and organise activities which will maintain client contact and involvement with the local community.
Provide assistance and on the job training for volunteers who assist with the activities programs.
Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation and client records.
Participate in continuous Quality Improvement programs.
Participate in regular individual or peer group supervision activities.
