**About The Role**:
You will be part of the Scrap Bay team which feeds the furnaces at the Meltshop area of the Rooty Hill Steel Mill, reporting to the Supervisor. It is a Monday to Friday role on day shift, and you will have ample opportunity for progression into a variety of roles across the mill, such as steelmaking and team leadership.

We will provide training for each area of the Scrap Bay
- Overhead crane operation (bridge and gantry licence)
- Weighbridge operation including the processing of incoming, outgoing and internal trucks.
- Inspecting loads to check for any non-conforming product
- Data entry, computer literacy/knowledge and attention to detail essential
- Providing weighbridge break relief & leave coverage.
- Assisting Scrap bay coordinator.
- You will champion a strong safety culture.

It is important that you are committed to learning the scrap bay and steel industry, where you will gain exposure to best-practice in safety. You will have stability and long-term career development.
- Operator, tradesman, labouring, crane driving or weighbridge operator experience
- Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
- Computer literate
